If you have not noticed, designers have gone buck wild with straps and buckles on shoes. Is as if they are vying to see who can strap in your feet the best lol. Having said that, they style is sort of funky and fun....the more straps and buckles.....the edgier the style. Below are some examples of what I call the strap me in boots:
